These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Fortax, a product operated by Dalo ("Fortax", "we", "us"). Fortax is an AI-powered compliance marketplace that connects businesses with verified Chartered Accountants and provides integrated compliance, accounting and advisory tools. By creating an account, accessing fortax.in, using the Fortax SAI assistant, our apps or any related service (together, the "Services"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
Fortax operates as a neutral technology marketplace. When you engage a Chartered Accountant through Fortax, the professional services themselves are delivered by that independent CA or firm, not by Fortax. Fortax provides the platform, tools, AI assistance, payments infrastructure and dispute-resolution framework, but is not itself a CA firm and does not provide audit, attestation or certified advisory services.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. By using Fortax on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business to these Terms.
Fortax provides compliance, accounting, invoicing, business management, AI assistance, blockchain verification, valuation, due diligence and investor connection tools. The Services are provided "as is" and may evolve over time as we add, remove or modify features.
The Fortax SAI assistant generates responses using AI models and public data sources. While we strive for accuracy, AI outputs should not be treated as professional legal, tax, or financial advice. Always verify critical filings with a qualified Chartered Accountant or advisor before acting. Fortax is not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of AI output.
Where Fortax connects to services like the GSTN portal, banks, or email providers, you authorise us to act on your instructions. We are not responsible for outages, errors or data accuracy of those third parties.
You retain all rights to the data you upload or generate within Fortax ("Your Content"). You grant Fortax a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content solely to provide the Services. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and we will not use it to train public AI models without your explicit consent.

Fortax, the Fortax SAI logo, Dalo, the "world's first Compliance AI" designation and all related marks, designs, text, graphics, software and documentation are owned by us or our licensors and protected by Indian and international intellectual property laws. You may not use them without prior written permission.
The Blockchain Compliance Card stores verifiable hashes of your business credentials. You are responsible for keeping the physical card safe. Lost or stolen cards should be reported immediately so we can revoke and reissue them. Information written to the blockchain is immutable but revocation flags can be updated.
Our Investor Connect feature facilitates introductions to investors. Fortax does not act as a broker, advisor, underwriter, or intermediary in any investment transaction. All investment decisions, negotiations and agreements are solely between you and the investor. Fortax makes no guarantees about funding outcomes.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fully accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fortax and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our total aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you to Fortax in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold Fortax harmless from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
You may terminate your account at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or if required by law. Upon termination, your access ends, but obligations that by nature should survive (such as intellectual property, indemnity and limitation of liability) will remain in force.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-app at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
